Early voting opens for Summit County’s 2026 primary election

Voters can cast ballots June 16, 17, 18 and 20 ahead of the June 23 primary

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Early voting for the 2026 primary election begins Tuesday, June 16, giving Summit County voters several opportunities to cast ballots ahead of Election Day.

Early voting will be available Tuesday, June 16; Wednesday, June 17; Thursday, June 18; and Saturday, June 20, according to Summit County. Early voting sites will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday.

All Summit County offices will also be closed June 19, with the exception of the Coalville and Park City DMV offices, which will operate as usual.

The 2026 primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23. Completed ballots must be received by the Summit County Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, according to the county. Voters returning ballots by mail are encouraged to allow enough time for delivery or use an official ballot drop box by the deadline.
