Main Street Pizza & Noodle to close after 35 years in Park City

PARK CITY, Utah — After 35 years serving locals, visitors, and travelers from around the world, Main Street Pizza & Noodle will close its doors at 530 Main Street, the owners announced Monday. The restaurant will close permanently at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 5.

“A lot has changed in Park City over 35 years—as it does—but the restaurant largely never did,” the announcement read, recalling its warm atmosphere and role as “one of the few truly casual dining options on Main Street.”

Over the decades, the restaurant served more than eight million guests. “We’ve had the privilege of being part of so many people’s memories of Park City,” said owner Rick Smith, a 40-year Park City resident. “From Sundance to ski season, powder days to summer festivals—we were here for all of it. Feeding the people who came through this town for 35 years was an honor we never took for granted.”

Owners pointed to shifting economics on Main Street, including rising rents and increasing pressure from national tenants, as factors in the decision to close.

The restaurant was featured on Food Network’s Rachael’s Vacation and welcomed “generations of families, Sundance crowds, and ski visitors from every corner of the globe.”

With the restaurant closing, Smith said he looks forward to spending more time with family, enjoying his grandchildren, and traveling after four decades in Park City.

“This community made the restaurant what it was,” Smith said. “Park City will always be home, and Main Street Pizza & Noodle will always be one of the best things I ever did.”
