Winter romance and family fun, elevated at Montage Deer Valley

PARK CITY, Utah — February is one of the best times to be in Deer Valley. Ski season is in full swing and evenings feel just as important as time on the mountain. Montage Deer Valley offers a range of Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day weekend experiences designed to elevate both après and family time without feeling overprogrammed.

When you’re done carving turns on the slopes, the Après Lounge is your first stop. Guests gather as the sun sets and the resort’s mining whistle signals the end of the ski day. Champagne service, live music and panoramic alpine views create a relaxed setting to unwind before dinner. On Feb. 14, Steven Spence will perform in the golden-hour atmosphere.

From Feb. 11–26, the Vista Library becomes home to the first-ever Christian Louboutin Pop-Up Boutique. The limited-time experience brings a curated selection of alpine-inspired footwear and accessories for men and women to the resort, combining sculptural design with winter-ready functionality. Guests are invited to stop by the adjacent Vista Lounge for exclusive cocktails, the Louboutini and Dandy on Ice, inspired by the iconic red sole.

Families will find a steady lineup of activities throughout the holiday weekend. On Feb. 13, the Mosaic Pool hosts a Glow Pool Party, offering an evening of music, swimming and casual fun. Elevated Kids Night Out runs Feb. 13 and 14, giving children a structured evening of crafts, games and dinner with the Paintbox team, while parents enjoy time on their own. Additional programming, including animal shows, face painting and balloon art, adds variety to afternoons and early evenings.

Valentine’s Day dining anchors the week. Apex presents a curated menu focused on seasonal flavors, thoughtful wine pairings and mountain views, while Yama Sushi offers Love Elevated, an intimate omakase-style experience highlighting winter seafood and premium sake. Both dining experiences require reservations and are designed to feel distinct, whether guests are celebrating quietly or making an evening of it.

February’s offerings reflect Montage Deer Valley’s approach to winter—polished but relaxed, with enough variety to suit couples, families and groups looking to make the most of time on and off the mountain.
