Woman dies following skiing incident at Park City Mountain’s Canyons Village

PARK CITY, Utah — A female skier at Park City Mountain’s Canyons Village died Tuesday after sustaining fatal injuries while skiing at the resort, Park City Mountain confirmed Friday.

The 61-year-old woman from Florida was on an intermediate trail near the Dreamscape Lift when the incident occurred.

Park City Mountain Ski Patrol responded to the scene and transported the woman to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she was later pronounced deceased, resort representatives said.

“On behalf of the Park City Mountain team, we share our heartfelt condolences with the family and friends of our guest,” said Deirdra Walsh, vice president and chief operating officer of Park City Mountain.
