Vehicle fire in Parleys Canyon creates MLK Day traffic

PARLEYS CANYON, Utah — A vehicle fire in Parley’s Canyon delayed MLK Day travelers and commuters Monday morning.

A vehicle in the eastbound lanes became fully engulfed in flames, blocking two lanes and the right shoulder as first responders extinguished the flames. All lanes have been reopened as of 10:45 a.m.

The Utah Highway Patrol has not yet disclosed the cause of the fire or provided other details, including any possible injuries.
