Survey open through Feb. 7 aims to gather input from 2,000 residents and workers
PARK CITY, Utah — The Summit County Mental Wellness Alliance has launched its biennial Mental Health Community Survey to gather input from residents and workers to inform future behavioral health programs and services.
The anonymous survey, hosted by Summit County Health Department and sponsored by the Park City Community Foundation and the Katz Amsterdam Foundation, will remain open through Feb. 7. Organizers aim to collect responses from more than 2,000 participants, supplemented by 400 randomly selected phone calls to residents.
The survey is available in both English and Spanish and is open to anyone who lives or works in Summit County. Workers should use their workplace zip code when completing the survey, according to Anna Frachou, Mental Wellness Alliance director at the Summit County Health Department.
“This survey helps us better understand our community needs, identify opportunities, and strengthen our impact,” Frachou said.
Current data shows 40% of Summit County residents receive some form of behavioral health services, and one in five students struggle with mental health issues, according to the Mental Wellness Alliance.
The previous community survey, conducted two years ago, led to several program expansions. Results informed the establishment of a mobile crisis unit, an increase in Spanish-speaking clinicians, and expanded access to mental health services throughout the county.
The 2024 survey also prompted the establishment of peer-led youth mental health programs, the recruitment and training of four certified peer support specialists, including family support specialists, the establishment of Summit County’s first sober living facility, and the launch of alcohol-free and drug-free evening and weekend programs.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed at www.prcsurvey.com/begin/SummitCountyUT2026.
