UPDATE: Man found deceased in Park City pond, police investigating

PARK CITY, Utah — Authorities are investigating after a man was found deceased Friday morning in a pond near the Lucky John and Little Kate area.

According to the Park City Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area after a report of a 69-year-old man who had gone for a
walk and did not return home.

While officers were enroute, the reporting party located the male in a pond near the residence.

The Park City Police Department and Park City Fire District responded to the scene. Fire District personnel removed the man from the pond, where he was pronounced deceased.

“It does not appear to be suspicious,” said police spokesperson Danielle Snelson, noting that the investigating is ongoing.

No additional details have been released.
