Deer Valley’s Taste of Luxury series brings Michelin star chefs to the slopes

PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort is elevating the après-ski experience this January with its Taste of Luxury Series, bringing two world-renowned Michelin star chefs to Park City for intimate dinners and hands-on culinary classes.

The series continues with Chef Diego Briones, owner and head chef of Z’Som in Vienna, Austria, who will host events Jan. 23 and 25. Chef Briones brings 15 years of international experience cooking across Chile, Peru, Canada, Spain, China, the Philippines and France, crafting modern South American cuisine informed by his Chilean heritage.

“January is full of truly unique dining experiences with Deer Valley’s Taste of Luxury Series, and we are honored to host Chef Briones who will be sharing his globally inspired recipes, kitchen secrets, and culinary vision with our guests,” said Deer Valley Resort VP of Food & Beverage Jacob Musyt. “Foodies will have the rare chance to meet Chef Briones, savor an elaborate multi-course meal of his creation, and learn scratch cooking methods and techniques firsthand from this world-renowned chef.”

Exclusive experiences with Chef Diego Briones

Guests can choose between two distinct experiences with the Michelin star chef:

VIP meet and greet reception and dinner on Jan. 23 at Silver Lake Lodge’s Bald Mountain Room features a VIP reception at 6:30 p.m. with canapés and hand-selected wines, followed by a five-course Michelin dinner at 7 p.m. The intimate evening includes opportunities to mingle with Chef Briones, Deer Valley’s director of beverage and the resort’s executive chef. Tickets are $285 for the VIP reception and dinner, or $235 for dinner only.

The hands-on cooking class on Jan. 25 at The Brass Tag at 2:30 p.m. offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn cooking secrets and create culinary favorites from scratch alongside Chef Briones and Deer Valley’s culinary team. The $285 experience includes lunch, wine pairing, a custom apron, recipes and special gifts.

Limited availability for Chef Enrico Bartolini events

A few tickets remain for earlier Taste of Luxury Series events with Chef Enrico Bartolini, scheduled for Jan. 9-11. The celebrated Italian chef has earned a record 14 Michelin stars throughout his career and operates a prestigious three-star restaurant in Milan, the first of its kind in the city since 1994.

His Jan. 9 and 10 VIP meet and greet dinners at Empire Canyon Lodge’s Fireside Dining Room feature four-course menus showcasing his signature balance of tradition and innovation. VIP reception and dinner tickets are $402, or $342 for dinner only.

Chef Bartolini’s cooking master class on Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. focuses on fresh, handmade pasta techniques. The $390 class offers an immersive experience in Italian culinary traditions under the guidance of one of Italy’s most celebrated chefs.
