Meet Eddie: Deer Valley debuts moose mascot and adventure coloring book

PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort unveiled its newest mascot Sunday, a moose named Eddie, marking the start of the resort’s 25/26 season with a children’s book and adventure map.

The resort announced “Meeting of the Mascots: An Adventure Story & Coloring Book,” created in partnership with the Arts Council Park City & Summit County, alongside a new Kids’ Adventure Map featuring Eddie and other resort mascots.

Deer Valley will host a family event on Friday, Dec. 12, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Snow Park base area to close out Kids Ski Free Week. The week-long promotion offers free skiing for children 12 and under, giving families an early-season opportunity to experience the resort’s terrain and family-friendly atmosphere.

The Friday gathering will include a meet-and-greet with Eddie and a book signing with artist Ashley Moore.

“We welcome families and skiers of all ages to join us for a special event starring Deer Valley ’s new mascot, Eddie,” said Director of Marketing, Carly Driscoll. “Guests will have the chance to meet Eddie and the artist of the new book and enjoy refreshments and activities for the whole family.”

The free event will feature cotton candy, light refreshments, a photo booth and appearances by Deer Valley mascots. Guests can purchase the coloring book and Eddie plush toys at a retail pop-up shop.
