PARK CITY, Utah — Freedog and Friends will present a night of “sound and spirit” at the Prospector Theater on Saturday, December 20, for a Winter Solstice concert that embraces Park City’s vibrant, local music culture.
Presented by SoulForceOne and Mountain Town Music, and supported by Powder Buoy, Freedog’s Winter Solstice Experience will take place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at The Prospector Conference Center and Theatre, located at 2175 Sidewinder Drive.
Organizers describe the evening as an intimate Solstice gathering focused on original songs, storytelling, and an audience that feels “more like family than fans.” The venue, off Main Street, will be transformed into a “vibey-lit Solstice haven,” emphasizing community, connection, and the celebration of the year’s shortest day.
Freedog, led by former professional skier and songwriter Bryon Friedman, is a Park City-based band that blends roots, rock, and elements of psychedelia into a sound described as “both timeless and alive.” The group has developed a loyal following in town for their shows, which highlight local musicians and foster a relaxed, mountain-town atmosphere.
This year’s Winter Solstice show will feature Freedog along with special guests and some surprises throughout the night, according to organizers, with a focus on authentic, homegrown music and a shared experience during the seasonal turning point.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the Solstice theme with a simple dress code: wear white or blue and “shine like snow,” with sequins highly encouraged.

Tickets are available starting at $43 for general admission standing, with VIP seated tickets priced at $119. A higher-priced day-of general admission option is available for $72, subject to availability.
Freedog’s Winter Solstice Experience will be held on Saturday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m. at The Prospector Conference Center and Theatre in Park City. Tickets and additional details can be found through Eventbrite.
