PARK CITY, Utah — Families and friends gathered at CREATE PC Local Artist Collective on Saturday afternoon for a Día de los Muertos celebration, honoring loved ones with color, art, and shared traditions.

Hosted by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County, the free community event invited guests to add photos, mementos, and favorite foods of those who have passed to a large ofrenda while enjoying tamales, pan de muerto, face painting, and hands-on crafts.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors moved through the gallery space, pausing to read names on the altar, light candles, and talk with their children about the stories behind each framed photograph.

Between art tables and music, the atmosphere stayed both festive and tender — a place to celebrate memory, connect across cultures, and introduce younger generations to the traditions of Día de los Muertos.
