Pendry Park City welcomes new Sunrise Gondola with opening weekend celebrations

PARK CITY, Utah — Ski season officially takes flight as Pendry Park City celebrates the highly anticipated debut of the Sunrise Gondola, opening Nov. 21 in the heart of Canyons Village. The new 10-person gondola lands directly at Pendry’s doorstep, redefining ski-in, ski-out convenience and setting a new standard for mountain access in Park City.

“The Sunrise Gondola is a major innovation for Park City Mountain and for Pendry,” said John Rolfs, General Manager of Pendry Park City. “It completely transforms the guest experience. You can step right out of your residence or the plaza, clip into your skis, and be on the mountain in minutes- and when you’re done, you can ride right back down, still in your boots, and head straight to après. It’s seamless, elevated, and perfectly captures the Pendry way of mountain living.”

To mark the occasion, Pendry will host a sparkling three-day celebration in partnership with Perrier, from Nov. 21 to 23. Pendry Plaza will come alive each afternoon from 2–5 p.m. with a Perrier-powered après experience, complete with a custom pop-up bar, live DJ sets, handcrafted mocktails, and festive giveaways. Guests can also enjoy a morning Perrier giveaway at the base of the gondola, offering chilled sparkling water to first-track skiers and early risers.

The celebration coincides with the opening of Pendry’s new Après Terrace, offering open-air lunches and après cocktails just steps from the new lift—an ideal spot to unwind after a day on the slopes.

“The gondola is more than just a new way up the mountain,” Rolfs said. “It’s a symbol of connection between adventure and comfort, between the slopes and the social scene, between the energy of Park City and the sophistication of Pendry. Launching it with Perrier feels right- it’s fresh, fun, and a perfect start to an incredible season.”

Pendry Park City’s schedule is packed from Thanksgiving through New Year’s, hosting an array of festive season programming designed for guests and locals alike. From the debut of Party on the Playa, Pendry’s new beach-meets-mountain après series launching the following weekend just outside Dos Olas Cantina, to Chefsgiving, a culinary take on the holiday hosted by Pendry’s talented chefs, to the annual tree lighting ceremony, family-friendly holiday workshops, and the return of the Pool House Social, the resort’s rooftop winter series pairing craft cocktails, live music, and mountain views.
