Sundance Resort marks another year with prestigious MICHELIN Key Award

SUNDANCE, Utah — Sundance Mountain Resort has retained its One MICHELIN Key distinction in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide, affirming its status as one of the world’s premier lodging destinations. This honor recognizes excellence in hospitality, service, comfort, and design.

The repeat recognition comes as the resort prepares to open its new flagship lodging option, the Inn at Sundance Mountain Resort, in January 2026. This 63-room ski-in, ski-out accommodation is designed to enhance the guest experience while preserving the property’s rustic charm and commitment to environmental values rooted in its history.

Founded by actor and filmmaker Robert Redford in 1969, the resort spans over 3,000 acres beneath Mount Timpanogos. It offers year-round recreational and arts programming while emphasizing land conservation.

Recent developments at the resort include The Springs, an area featuring pools and an outdoor sauna, as well as the Outlaw Express lift, which transports guests to the Mandan summit in around seven minutes. An expansion of the Far East terrain is planned for the 2025–26 ski season, followed by the Electric Horseman lift and additional terrain for the 2026–27 season.

The MICHELIN Guide evaluates properties based on criteria such as service quality, interior design, comfort, consistency, authenticity, and a lodging’s ability to connect guests to the surrounding destination.

Sundance Mountain Resort had previously received the One MICHELIN Key distinction in the 2024 Guide.
