Peace House marks 30 years with community open house Oct. 25

PARK CITY, Utah — Peace House, a nonprofit dedicated to ending interpersonal violence, will celebrate 30 years of advocacy with a community open house Oct. 25 at its campus in Quinn’s Junction.

The drop-in event, free and open to the public, will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 700 Round Valley Drive. Guests will have the chance to tour the facility, meet staff and volunteers, and learn more about the services Peace House provides to survivors in Summit and Wasatch counties.

Organizers said the gathering offers a rare look at how interpersonal violence shelters operate and the kinds of support survivors may need as they navigate safety, healing, and independence.

Highlights include a light breakfast with coffee and cider, a family-friendly guided activity with prize giveaways, and information stations staffed by advocates. Guests will also hear about volunteer opportunities and upcoming training sessions.

To maintain privacy and safety, shelter and transitional housing areas will not be open to the public. The event will be held on the lower level of the campus.

While registration is not required, Peace House encourages RSVPs at peacehouse.org/events/open-house to help with planning.

Founded in 1995, Peace House provides shelter, advocacy, prevention, and education services for survivors of interpersonal violence. More information is available at peacehouse.org.
