PCHS Miners girls volleyball gets the W against Murray High

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City High School girls varsity volleyball team won at home in their match — well, rematch or even re-rematch against the Murray Spartans.

Bethany Meyers, the Miners Head Coach, told TownLift before the game, “So far our season has been going well, and tonight’s opponent, Murray, is the only team we’ve given up a match to within our region, so it should be an exciting match, and we’re looking forward to competing against them again in a rematch.”

The Murray Girls Varsity Volleyball also went up against Park City in a pre-season game at which the Miners were the victors.

They only have two more matches after the Miners Senior Night, which will be next Tuesday at hom. Next Thursday they play against Highland High. “So these last three matches will be a fun way to wrap up our regular season play.”

Meyers’ three young sons were in attendance cheering on the home team, the oldest of whom enjoys playing volleyball.

From the bench, on the temporary injury list, freshman girls volleyball teammate Issy Powers served as student-sports reporter telling TownLift, “The results of the match against Murray included the Miners winning Set One 25-15, Set Two went to the Spartans 25-15, Set Three 25-22 Park City, and the fourth and final Set was won by the Miners with a score of 25-15 giving Park City the win for the night.”
