Only one week to go for YSA’s JWW Opportunity Drawing

PARK CITY, Utah — On October 25, the annual JANS  Winter Welcome (JWW) will strive to raise funds for local youth athlete programs and scholarships.

In this Olympic year, funds from JWW will support future Olympians in emulating their heroes, including present and past Olympians from the Park City School District and adjacent Districts, collectively known as Park City Nation.

JANS Winter Welcome is the premier fundraising event supporting youth winter sports programs on the Wasatch Back. Each year, the Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) raises vital funds to support seven YSA partner clubs and YSA’s afterschool programs. Four hundred prominent members of the local community, the snow-sport industry, and friends from across the country mingle, dine, and bid on auction items to support teams and fund scholarships for junior athletes.

If you aren’t planning on attending the sold-out gala, you can still participate in the Drawing.

Opportunity Drawing tickets may be purchased here.

“JANS Winter Welcome helps young athletes and students pursue their dreams and their passion for sport. At the Youth Sports Alliance, we believe that sport changes lives. Every child should have the opportunity,” said YSA Program Director Heather Sims in a statement.

JANS Winter Welcome proceeds benefit the students in YSA afterschool programs and athletes training with our seven partner teams, including: Figure Skating Club of Park City, Park City Ice Miners, Park City Ski & Snowboard, Park City Speedskating Club, Utah Olympic Park Skeleton & Bobsled, Wasatch Freestyle, and Wasatch Luge Club.

“Thank you for supporting us and athletes like Ashley Farquharson, Olympian, YSA Get Out & Play alumna, and YSA Dare to Dream scholarship recipient,” Sims added.
