PARK CITY — Alterra Mountain Company announced that Kids Ski Free Week returns December 6-12, offering families at Deer Valley Resort and Solitude Mountain Resort up to seven consecutive days of complimentary lift tickets for children 12 and under.
The promotion provides an opportunity for local families to get their kids on the slopes during early December without the usual lift ticket costs, and no season pass purchase is required.
“The snow is already falling in the high country, and we are excited to once again inspire families to get on the slopes this season with Kids Ski Free Week throughout Alterra mountain destinations,” said Jared Smith, President & CEO of Alterra Mountain Company. “With free lift tickets and other added discounts, families can take advantage of the early season and start a lifelong spark for a love of the mountains.”
Solitude is offering additional discounts during Kids Ski Free Week, including 50% off First Timer lessons, 25% off junior rentals, and 25% off one food and beverage item per child at Moonbeam Lodge. Ski-in/ski-out lodging packages start at $169.
To redeem the offer, families can visit Guest Services at either Deer Valley or Solitude, or check the resorts’ websites for details. Rentals and lessons are not included in the free lift ticket offer, though Solitude’s additional discounts can help offset those costs.
Beyond Park City, the promotion spans 15 North American destinations across Alterra’s portfolio — including Steamboat, Winter Park and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Palisades Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resort and Snow Valley in California; Stratton and Sugarbush in Vermont; Crystal Mountain in Washington; Schweitzer in Idaho; Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia; and Tremblant and Blue Mountain in Canada.
