PARK CITY, Utah — Park City officials say now is the time for residents to weigh in on the proposed redevelopment of Bonanza Park.
During an Oct. 23 meeting with future developer Brinshore Development, members of the City Council said they were surprised by the lack of public comment on the project’s draft site plan, which covers roughly five acres at the corner of Kearns Boulevard and Bonanza Drive.
“I’ve been dismayed when some people have mentioned to me they’re going to wait until after the election to weigh in on Bonanza Park,” Mayor Nann Worel said. “That’s too late, my friends. This is when we’re talking about it.”
The plan outlines where buildings would sit on the site, their heights, and general uses.
Councilmembers plan to discuss the layout once more on Nov. 6 before taking an initial vote. After that, Brinshore will submit a formal application to the city’s planning department, with additional opportunities for public comment later in the process — though the overall footprint may be set by then.
