SANDY, Utah — Ski ‘N See will launch its largest Ski-A-Rama tent sale in the event’s 31-year history Thursday, Aug. 21, offering discounts of up to 75% on winter sports gear through Monday, Sept. 1.
The 11-day sale kicks off with extended hours from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. only on opening day, Aug. 21, at the Sandy store location (772 E. 9400 S). For the remainder of the event, regular sale hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“This year will be our largest ever,” said Bryce Bagley, Ski ‘N See’s revenue manager. “What started as a pop-up tent out of the back of a truck has turned into two huge tents in the parking lot and a store completely full. We have millions of dollars of inventory at this sale available for our customers.”

Bagley said the company’s growth — now operating 14 locations from Orem to South Weber, along with stores in Park City and Deer Valley — has allowed it to purchase more inventory each year, including additional product from vendors later in the season.
Discounts will range from 40% to 75% off regular prices, with up to 50% off outerwear, up to 75% off boots and helmets, and up to 60% off skis and snowboards. Popular brands this year include Marker, Salomon, Giro, and Smith.

Bagley noted growing demand for certain products, including Boa Ski Boots, which use a dial-and-cable system for a precise fit and easier entry and exit. “It’s been in snowboard boots for decades, but only recently adapted into ski boots,” he said. Other trends include magnetic goggle lenses for quick swaps and an increased interest in used equipment. Hundreds of tuned demo skis will be on sale at reduced prices, offering a lower-cost option without sacrificing quality.
Opening night on Aug. 21 will feature special promotions, including a partnership with Sundance Resort. Customers who spend $350 or more will receive a reloadable S Card with one free day of skiing. Heated socks, retailing for $350, will be offered for $150, and there will be $50 off demo skis and snowboards over $299, along with extra discounts on entry-level packages.

Ski ‘N See’s seasonal rental program begins Aug. 22, with junior packages starting at $100 and adult packages at $180. Rentals will not be available at the Sandy store during the sale but will be offered at the Bountiful and Fort Union locations starting Sept. 12.
The sale will also offer discounted pre-paid tune-up services, including a $30 basic tune and a $50 machine tune.
Bagley recommends shoppers come early in the sale for the best selection and to plan ahead. “Go through your gear before you come, make a list, and carve out some time,” he said. “Trying on boots, jackets, and pants takes longer than buying a T-shirt, and you want the right fit so you’re comfortable all season.”

For Bagley, Ski-A-Rama has become a community staple. “There’s really not anybody else doing anything on this scale,” he said. “It’s a chance for locals to get quality gear at major discounts before the winter rush — and it kicks off the excitement for ski season.”
