PARK CITY, Utah — Le Depot Brasserie and neighboring Union Patisserie will mark France’s national holiday with a Bastille Day celebration on Saturday, July 12, transforming the plaza at 660 Main St., corner of Heber Avenue, into a slice of Paris from 1 to 8 p.m.
Open to the public and free for all ages, the event centers on the historic July 14, 1789, storming of the Bastille prison that sparked the French Revolution and ushered in the ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity. Guests can play pétanque and other French-inspired games throughout the afternoon.
Live music begins with the Take 5 Quartet from 1 to 4 p.m., bringing what the group describes as a “smooth and spicy style of great standards in jazz.” Miss DJ Luxe follows from 5 to 7 p.m., spinning energetic French tunes to keep the plaza moving.
Le Depot will run French food and beverage stations in the plaza while also serving its regular brunch menu from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Plaza offerings include Fruits de Mer, Croque Monsieur, Lobster Croque and La Grillade brochettes.
Union Patisserie will scoop ice cream outdoors from 1 to 4 p.m. and continue its usual 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. lineup of coffee, pastries, wine, beer, sodas, grab-and-go items and sweets.
