Call for artists: Monster Drawing Rally returns for ninth year

PARK CITY, Utah — The Monster Drawing Rally is back for its ninth year, bringing live art and community energy to the Kimball Art Center on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Presented in partnership by the Park City Summit County Arts Council and Kimball Art Center, the event will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kimball Art Center’s Yard location.

Artists will create original two-dimensional works in 50-minute rounds, engaging with fellow artists and an interactive crowd as they work. Participants can bring partially finished pieces or start from scratch using their own materials or basic supplies provided on site.

Completed artworks will be sold for $50 each, with proceeds benefiting both nonprofit organizations. If multiple buyers are interested in a single piece, a random draw will determine the winner.

Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Aug. 15.
