Park City HOAs join forces for first-ever Wildfire Preparedness Fair

PARK CITY, Utah — In a first-of-its-kind event, seven Park City homeowners associations are coming together to host a Wildfire Preparedness Fair on June 21 at Pinebrook Park.

The idea for the fair began with the Glenwild community, which has ramped up its wildfire awareness and mitigation efforts over the past year. According to Glenwild HOA Board Member and Wildfire Preparedness Committee Member Angie Kell, the team originally planned the event just for their neighborhood—but quickly realized the importance of a broader approach.

“We know that it’s not just our community that needs to be at the forefront of this. It’s all the contiguous communities,” said Kell. “We got this incredible roster of speakers, and we decided to open it up to their HOAs that we interface with to spread educational awareness because we’re all in this together within our communities.”

Participating HOAs include Glenwild, Pinebrook, The Colony, Jeremy Ranches, The Preserve, Quarry Mountain Ranch, and Stagecoach Estates.

The fair will feature expert speakers and practical tips for fire mitigation, with a focus on empowering residents to take action ahead of what’s expected to be an exceptionally hot summer in Utah. Kell emphasized that the goal is not just awareness, but action. Organizers hope the event inspires attendees to walk away with at least a few tangible steps they can take to better protect their homes and neighborhoods.

The Donut Kabobs food truck and La Lupe Taco Truck will be selling food at the event, and the first 100 adults will receive $10 in food coupons. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those interested in attending must be homeowners in one of the listed HOAs. RSVPs can be sent to glenwildrsvp@gmail.com.
