Police log: suspicious free phone, multiple drug possession

Wednesday, May 7

Incident: Suspicious Activity

A complainant called to report that a person knocked on her door, handed her a phone, and told her it was free. The suspicious person left the premises.

Thursday, May 8

Incident: Animal Problem

At Round Valley, there were multiple reports of an aggressive dog.

Friday, May 9

Incident: Trespassing

Deputies responded to the Best Western on Landmark Drive on the report of two individuals working on cars in the parking lot. The business advised that this is an ongoing issue in the area. The two individuals were contacted and formally trespassed from the premises.

 

Incident: Drugs

Deputies observed a equipment violation on a vehicle traveling on SR224 near Sun Peak Drive and N Flanders Way. Deputies performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted both occupants. During the course of the stop a K9 deployment was performed and a positive K9 hit lead to a subsequent search of the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle Deputies located multiple items of drug paraphernalia, along with multiple controlled substances. Both occupants were placed into custody and transported to the Summit County Jail without incident.

 

Incident: Juvenile Problem THREE KINGS DR; Silve

On Three Kings Drive, Park City Police witnessed two junior high kids riding e-bikes very fast past the resort— a frequent issue—and stated they had girls on the back of the bikes.

Saturday, May 10

Incident: Trespassing

Deputies responded to the Powder Wood Condos, to a report of a male yelling in the stairwell and refusing to leave. Contact with the male was made and at the request of the condo owner, the male was trespassed from the premises.

 

Incident: Drugs/Warrant

Deputies observed a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot with an attached arrest warrant. The driver of the vehicle was contacted and placed under arrest for the warrant. During a subsequent inventory search of the vehicle, a user amount of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia were located. The subject was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was transported to the Summit County Jail without incident.

 

Incident: Drugs

Deputies responded to the Chevron in Coalville for a homeless female who was not making any sense. Deputies arrived and came into contact with the female. During the interaction the female admitted to Deputies that she had drug paraphernalia on her that she had used to smoke “blue.” Deputies located the tin-foil that had a burnt black residue. The female was taken into custody and transported to Summit County Jail. While at the jail, jail Deputies located a straw with the same burnt black residue inside that the tin-foil had. The female was booked into the Summit County Jail for possession of drug paraphernalia without incident.

 

Sunday, May 11

Incident: DUI

Deputies responded to SR-32 and Buck Rail Drive on a report of a single vehicle roll over. Upon arriving the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was put through Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and arrested for DUI and open containers located in the vehicle. The driver was medically cleared and booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was state impounded by Park City Towing.
