PARK CITY, Utah — The wild turkey, that’s been spotted, of late, on and around the Park City Golf course, chose the ‘around’ part on Friday as it wandered slowly and safely through the parking lot of the hotel across the street.
Authorities are aware of it’s tendencies to stroll and advise that if you don’t bother it, it won’t bother you. On Thursday, the Park City Police Department posted on social media asking drivers to keep an eye out for a suspiciously bold — turkey near SR 224.
The department said the bird has been spotted crossing the road near the Park City Golf Course for reasons “we don’t know why.” Officers said the turkey was given a verbal warning to stay out of the roadway but appears undeterred.
The department is urging drivers to slow down and let the feathered local pass safely if spotted.
“If you see this friendly turkey,” the post read, “please slow down and let it pass.”
No fowl play is suspected.
