PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal will brief residents on more than 20 public‑works and planning initiatives during a spring projects open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Park City Library.
Mayor Nann Worel said the gathering is designed to give community members “a chance to see what’s happening in the community and share your thoughts with us.”
Project managers from every city department will staff information stations and take feedback on efforts ranging from long‑range planning to recreation upgrades and transportation studies. Highlights include:
-
General Plan update — The Planning Department will hold its final communitywide presentation on proposed revisions to the city’s guiding land‑use document at 5 p.m. in the library’s Santy Auditorium.
-
Re‑create 248 corridor study — City and Utah Department of Transportation officials will outline potential transit alternatives aimed at easing congestion between Quinn’s Junction and Old Town.
-
PC MARC outdoor aquatics remodel — Parks staff will display final designs for a new lap pool, zero‑entry access, water slide and climbing wall at the municipal recreation complex.
-
Homestake Road and other construction — Engineers will detail this season’s roadway and infrastructure improvements planned for Homestake Road and other key corridors.
-
Kids’ bike safety check — Trails and Open Space Rangers, Summit Bike Share and Basin Recreation will offer free spring tuneups for children’s bicycles.
City officials said the open‑house format allows residents to move freely between tables, ask questions and leave written comments. No formal presentation is scheduled beyond the General Plan session, and attendees may arrive at any time during the event.
