Lectura Lounge launches new local author series with guest Doug Wagner

PARK CITY, Utah — Lectura Lounge, which opened its doors in January 2024, quickly became a hub for local creativity. That summer, co-founder Maritza Roño Refuerzo launched the Witty Writers Workshop, beginning with sessions for children and teens. By fall, the program expanded to include an adult and teen group led by Britt Sady.

Witty Writers Workshop adds new local author series

The adult/teen Witty Writers Workshop group was so dedicated that they chose to continue. Britt Sady says, “I have always wanted to grow Witty Writers”. Now the Witty Writers Workshop will host a local writer series on the first Tuesday of every month.

Join them for their first guest speaker event on June 3 at 6:30 p.m.

The Witty Writers Workshop will invite a local writer to share their story, their trials, and what it took for them to become a published, accomplished author every month. The event will take place at Lectura Lounge at 1960 Sidewinder Drive, Ste. 106, Park City, UT 84060 and is free to attend but please RSVP.

LECTURA LOUNGE welcomes Doug Wagner

Doug Wagner is an American comic book writer whose Image Comics include PLASTIC (co-created with Daniel Hillyard), THE HARD PLACE (with Nic Rummel), GUNI CANDY (with Brian Stelfreeze), and THE RIDE (with too many to list). His books also include titles such as I.C.E., World of Warcraft: Bloodsworn, Legends of the Dark Knight, and Witchblade/Red Sonja.

This event is recommended for teens and adults 16 and older. The Witty Writers Workshop is delighted to offer this monthly series to the Summit County community free of charge.
