Adam Kinzinger to join Caroline Gleich for Park City democracy event

PARK CITY, Utah — Former U.S. Congressman Adam Kinzinger will headline a public Community Conversation hosted by The Union on Wednesday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m. MT at the Jim Santy Auditorium. The event, also available virtually, is part of The Union’s national series aimed at rebuilding trust in democratic institutions and inspiring civic engagement across political divides.

Kinzinger, a leading national voice for democratic reform, will be joined by Caroline Gleich — environmental activist, mountaineer, and former U.S. Senate candidate in Utah — and Reed Galen, a Parkite and co-founder of The Lincoln Project. Additional speakers are expected to be announced in the coming days.

“Standing up for democracy isn’t partisan — it’s American,” Kinzinger said. “We need more spaces where people can come together in good faith, share ideas, and recommit to building a better future.”

Organized by The Union, a volunteer-led coalition focused on strengthening democracy from the ground up, the event continues the group’s mission to elevate voices of courage and foster dialogue in politically divided times.

Admission is free but requires a reservation. In-person seating is limited, and virtual participation is also available.
