PARK CITY, Utah – As warmer temperatures move in, more Snyderville Basin and Round Valley trails are beginning to dry out, though higher elevations and north-facing aspects remain snow-covered or muddy.
According to the latest Basin Trails and Mountain Trails Reports, the following trails are open and ready to ride:
✅ Bike Park and Trailside Area
✅ Front side of Glenwild
✅ South Canyon and RocMon
✅ Most of Round Valley (except Big Easy and Backslide north of Sunny Slopes)
✅ Skyridge Trails: Two Rocks and Milky Way
✅ Lower Sparky
However, several areas remain closed due to lingering snow and mud:
❌ Bobs Basin, Flying Dog, and north-facing Glenwild trails
❌ Discovery Ridge trails
❌ RTS area
❌ Run-a-Muk (closed all April)
❌ Highway 40-side trails in Round Valley
❌ Upper Sparky (snow remains in oak-covered flow trail sections)
Trail conditions are improving daily, with more openings expected soon. Trail users are encouraged to check parkcitytrails.org for real-time updates and to avoid muddy sections to help preserve the trails.
Additionally, the Spring Creek bathroom has reopened, and volunteers gathered for the first Run-a-Muk cleanup day. Those who missed it can still join cleanup events on April 18 and April 26.
