PARK CITY, Utah — According to an announcement Friday from Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, Park City Peaks Hotel will undergo a $21 million renovation and rebrand as Hotel Thaynes. The project is expected to be completed in October 2025.
The 128-room property will join Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio, a collection of independent hotels. Lodging Dynamics said the renovation will update guest rooms, common areas and amenities while maintaining the building’s connection to local history.
Select rooms will include balconies and redesigned bathrooms with walk-in showers and updated finishes. Ski storage areas and other winter-sport amenities are planned, along with upgrades to the indoor pool, fitness center, sauna and outdoor hot tub. New social spaces will include fire pits and an outdoor BBQ area.
The on-site restaurant, Versante Hearth + Bar, will remain open and be incorporated into the hotel’s new design.
“Park City has a one-of-a-kind spirit, and Hotel Thaynes will embody that energy while bringing a refreshing, boutique experience to visitors and the community,” said Jamie Caraher, president and CEO of Lodging Dynamics. “This renovation will enhance every aspect of the hotel, from the guest rooms to the social spaces, while embracing the indie spirit and character that make Tribute Portfolio hotels so special.”
The hotel is located between Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort and will continue offering shuttle service to both. The property will stay open during renovations.
