Brighton’s “Meltdown” returns with slushy laps and sunshine

BRIGHTON, Utah — While most ski resorts are calling it a season, Brighton Resort is just getting to the fun part. After wrapping regular operations on Sunday, April 27, the resort will take a quick three-day breather before launching into The Meltdown—Brighton’s beloved spring skiing celebration—starting Friday, May 2.
Think fewer crowds, soft snow, and a sun-drenched top-to-bottom terrain park filled with jumps, jibs, side hits, and a whole lot of spring energy. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through May 18, The Meltdown is Brighton’s way of saying: the season isn’t over until the slush says so.
“We’re keeping it fun with a setup that sparks creativity and good times,” said Terrain Park Manager Treyson Allen. Whether you’re pushing progression or just linking laps with friends, The Meltdown is a space to relax, ride, and soak in the sunshine.
Even better—no parking reservations, no hassle, just easy access to spring turns. Crest 6 will run daily, with Majestic spinning on weekends, weather permitting.
All 2024–25 Brighton Season Passes, Ticket Packs, and Ikon Passes are valid during The Meltdown. Day tickets are just $49, or grab a Meltdown Unlimited Pass for $149 to ski or ride every day from May 2 to May 18.
Because when the regular season ends, the fun is just beginning.
