All seven Park City schools earn Utah Green Schools Certification in Earth Day recognition

PARK CITY, Utah — In a significant nod to sustainability and environmental stewardship, all seven Park City School District schools earned Utah Green Schools Certifications from the Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE). The district received the honor just in time for Earth Day, highlighting a strong, unified commitment to creating greener, healthier learning environments across the board.

The certification celebrates the efforts of educators, students, and staff who have worked collectively to embed sustainability into everyday school culture. From integrating environmental education into the curriculum to adopting eco-conscious practices like waste reduction and energy conservation, Park City schools are setting a new standard for environmental responsibility in Utah.

“This recognition is a reflection of our community’s values,” said the school district in a Facebook post. “We’re proud of the steps our schools are taking to ensure that sustainability is not just a lesson, but a way of life for our students.”
