Search and Rescue

Rescue: Snowmobile Accident; Location: Snake Creek, Midway, Wasatch County.
The Wasatch 911 Center was notified of a snowboard accident above Midway in Snake Creek. A 47 yom was injured in this accident. Wasatch Search & Rescue and Wasatch Fire responded to the accident scene. Intermountain Life Flight was called to assist in the extraction.

Search: Overdue Snowmobiler; Location: Current Creek/Coop Creek, Wasatch County.
Wasatch Dispatch received a 911 call reporting an overdue party. A 77 yom was a few hours overdue. Wasatch SAR responded with our snowmobile team to assist in the search. The missing snowmobiler was found at about 18:00 in good shape.

Rescue: Overdue Snowmobiler; Location: Lost Lake, Wasatch County.
The Wasatch Dispatch Center received a call tonight reporting an overdue snowmobiler. A 65 yom was due back the mid afternoon. A Family member reported him overdue. First Responders from Wasatch County Search & Rescue, Summit County Utah Search and Rescue and the Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter responded assist. The overdue party was not located during the night search. The Search was resumed the next morning (3/24) at 0700. The missing party was located by the Wasatch Search & Rescue Helicopter. This snowmobiler was able to spend the night in a snow cave and was in great shape when he was located. Yes, he was located at Lost Lake in the High Uintas.

Monday, March 24

Incident: Criminal Mischief Sullivan Rd; City Park.
A Park City Municipal Kubota vehicle was found vandalized near the north end of City Park by the football field. Its back window was smashed.

Friday, March 28

Incident: Missing Person; Location: Elk Meadows Apartments
Deputies responded to the Elk Meadows Apartment complex on the report of a missing 7-year-old child. After an extensive search effort, two children were found at the Macey’s grocery store in the Pinebrook area. All the families were reunited, and both children were safe and unharmed.
Sunday, March 30
Incident: DUI; Location: 900 W Bitner Rd; Canyon Creek Apartments
Deputies located an attempt-to-locate vehicle put out by Dispatch. Upon contact with the driver, obvious signs of impairment were observed. After an investigation the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations. Vehicle was impounded and driver was booked into the Summit County Jail.
Incident: Domestic Violence; Location: Pendry Hotel
Deputies responded to the Pendry Hotel on the report of a domestic violence situation. Prior to Deputy arrival, hotel security had both parties separated in the lobby. The offender used physical force to prevent the victim from leaving the hotel. The offender took the victim’s phone, impeding her ability to call for help. The predominant aggressor was arrested and booked into the Summit County jail without incident.
