Park City’s Recycle Utah launches Earth Month sustainability events

PARK CITY, Utah — Recycle Utah is set to host its annual Earth Day Celebration on Tuesday, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Twisted Fern restaurant.
The 21-and-over event will feature food, two drink tickets per person and a silent auction showcasing items from local businesses. Proceeds will support Recycle Utah’s education programs.
The celebration is part of a series of sustainability-focused events throughout April, which the organization is promoting as Earth Month.
“Join us to celebrate our beautiful planet and all the work we do together to protect it,” Recycle Utah stated in its announcement.
Additional events include a trivia night at Park City Brewing on April 15 at 6:30 p.m., featuring prizes for participants knowledgeable about recycling and sustainability topics.
On April 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., Recycle Utah will partner with FulFILLed Lifestyle Co. for a discussion about environmental and health impacts of plastics. The organization indicated more details would be forthcoming for this event.
The month’s activities will conclude with a sustainability workshop at the Park City Library on April 23 at 4 p.m. Recycle Utah will collaborate with Summit Community Gardens – EATS to provide information about home composting, recycling guidelines and plastic reduction strategies.
