PARK CITY, Utah — Recycle Utah is bringing convenient recycling options directly to Coalville residents with a free collection event on March 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The collection, aimed at expanding recycling access in underserved areas of Summit County, will take place in the Ledges Parking Lot at 202 Park Road in Coalville.
The event, sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture, will accept cardboard, plastics, batteries and electronic waste — items that typically attract the most participants at recycling events.
“We are hoping to do two to three more events later this year,” said Jim Bedell, general manager of Recycle Utah. “We would love to get input from Coalville residents as to other items they would like to see us collect.”
Residents can recycle materials at no cost while learning about recycling resources available in Summit County. Organizers also encourage attendees to share suggestions for future recycling collaborations in Coalville.
With additional funding, Recycle Utah plans to expand similar events to the Kamas Valley next year.
