Call for artists and makers for the 2025 Latino Arts Festival

PARK CITY, Utah — The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is now accepting applications for artists and artisanal makers for its annual Latino Arts Festival. This beloved cultural event will return to Canyons Village at Park City Mountain from June 13-15. This year marks the 9th annual Latino Arts Festival.

Part of the Arts Council’s mission is to gather communities to lift all voices and provide colorful and engaging opportunities for people to connect and learn. The Latino Arts Festival provides a platform for Latino and Hispanic artists and performers to showcase their talents and broaden their outreach.  It highlights creative cuisine, fine art, jewelry, sculpture, craft, poetry, live music and folkloric dance.

“Now more than ever we are excited to lift up Latino voices,” says Andrea Zavala, Latino Arts Festival Director. “This year, there are even more opportunities for creatives, makers, and artists from Latino and Hispanic cultures to shine. The Latino Arts Festival celebrates the richness of these cultures and provides a place where we can all share in the joy of color, delicious foods, and performances that will uplift our entire community.”

All Latino and Hispanic visual artists and artisanal makers are welcome to apply. This includes local, national, and international applicants. “The arts provide the perfect vehicle to share unique perspectives and find new paths of understanding; the arts unite us,” said Zavala.

Visual artist and maker applications for the Latino Arts Festival will be accepted through 5 p.m. MST on April 1. Please fill out and submit applications online. Information is available in English and Spanish. Portuguese translation is also available upon request. All applicants will go through a juried selection process. Applicants will be scored on a set of criteria, including artistic excellence, creativity, originality, strong representation of the multicultural and creative diversity of Latino/Hispanic cultures, cohesive collection, and authenticity of goods.

Visual artists who are accepted into the festival will be invited to have a 10×10 tented booth space to display their artwork on the forum grounds. New this year, makers of artisanal goods will have a 10×10 booth space inside the El Mercadito pavilion tent. Artists and makers must be available to monitor their booth throughout the three-day Festival and have a robust inventory of items to sell. The cost for all artists and makers to participate in the festival is $150.

The Arts Council will announce programming updates and a complete Festival schedule soon. Food trucks have already been selected, but you can contact them if you’d like to participate in the future. For additional ways to get involved or if you have questions about the application process, please contact Andrea Zavala. Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities can contact Kendall Kelley. There are still options available to support the Latino Arts Festival and promote your local business.
