PARK CITY, Utah — Eight Park City residents and leaders have been named to the Steering Committee for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the organizing committee announced Tuesday.
The committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the Organizing Committee Board as Utah prepares to host its second Winter Olympics.
Park City Mayor Nann Worel will serve as vice chair of the Host Communities Committee, working alongside Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, who chairs the committee.
“I am honored to represent Park City as vice chair of the Host Communities Committee for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games,” Worel said. “While there is a decade-long road ahead, this is an exciting step in laying the foundation for what will undoubtedly be a successful Games. I look forward to collaborating with outstanding community leaders, athletes, and experts – while also listening to our residents throughout the journey to ensure these Games reflect the spirit of our community. I’m excited to get started tomorrow!”
