Three iconic bands, one mountain stage, and enough synth-pop to make your hair defy gravity
PARK CITY, Utah — Concert-goers can expect to “run” to Canyons Village this July as Concerts on the Slopes adds an all-star 80s lineup to their summer series, featuring synth-pop pioneers A Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes, and Men Without Hats.
The “80’s Night Out!” concert, scheduled for July 25 at 7:00 p.m., promises to transform the mountain venue into a throwback celebration of new wave hits. The show brings together three iconic bands that helped define the decade’s distinctive sound and style.
A Flock of Seagulls, the Liverpool-based band known for their futuristic sound and gravity-defying hairstyles, will headline the evening. The group rose to international fame with hits like “I Ran (So Far Away)” and “Space Age Love Song.”
They’ll be joined by fellow British synth-pop artists Naked Eyes, celebrated for their electronic reimagining of “Always Something There to Remind Me,” and Canadian new wave favorites Men Without Hats, whose “Safety Dance” became a global phenomenon.
The outdoor venue at Canyons Village offers both general admission lawn seating for approximately 3,000 attendees and a reserved section of 500 seats directly in front of the stage. Concert organizers have announced that dancing is permitted in all sections — ensuring fans can indeed “dance if they want to.”
New for the 2025 season, Park City Performing Arts plans to introduce summer lawn passes that will grant access to all Concerts on the Slopes shows, with details forthcoming.
General admission attendees are welcome to bring blankets and low-back chairs under 9 inches in height, while reserved ticket holders will have chairs provided at their assigned locations.
Member sales start Thursday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. and public sales start Friday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. To buy tickets visit the Park City Performing Arts website.
