Sundance Resort to celebrate grand opening of Mountain Camp Day Lodge with festive weekend

SUNDANCE, Utah — Sundance Resort is set to debut its highly anticipated Mountain Camp Day Lodge with a grand opening celebration spanning two days, January 17 and 18. Designed as a hub for day skiers, the new lodge promises to enhance the mountain experience with its convenient location, upgraded facilities, and welcoming atmosphere.

The festivities kick off Friday, January 17, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with an open house featuring live music, DJ sets, dancing, and an exciting Rail Jam. Guests can meet Sundance’s Avalanche Dogs, enjoy complimentary appetizers and sodas, and take advantage of special deals like 30% off the menu and $4 beers. Attendees can also enter a raffle for a chance to win prizes.

The celebration continues Saturday morning, January 18, at 8:00 AM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The first 100 guests will be treated to free breakfast burritos, and complimentary hot cocoa will be served until noon as the lodge officially welcomes its first visitors.

A New Heart for Day Skiers

Located near the recently expanded parking areas by Jake’s Lift, the Mountain Camp Day Lodge is designed to streamline the ski day experience. It boasts cozy locker rooms, a ticket office, gear rentals, and a home base for the ski school. The Mountain Camp Café offers snacks, drinks, and stunning mountain views, making it a perfect spot to relax and refuel between runs.

The lodge’s opening comes on the heels of significant improvements to Sundance Resort’s parking capacity. Since 2021, the resort has added nearly 300 paved parking spots, ensuring smoother arrivals for both locals and visitors.
