Park City Community Foundation launches fund to support families facing immigration-related challenges
PARK CITY, Utah—The Park City Community Foundation has introduced the Community Belonging Fund to provide critical assistance to local families facing immigration-related challenges. The initiative aims to address urgent needs, including legal aid, education about immigrant rights, housing stability, and access to health services.
“The Community Foundation is committed to fostering belonging and advancing a thriving workforce,” said Diego Zegarra, vice president of equity and impact at the foundation. “The Community Belonging Fund is one way we can support local, hardworking families and collectively uphold the values that make Park City a place for everyone.”
The fund is designed to swiftly channel resources to families in need, bolstering their ability to navigate difficult circumstances. Donations can be made online or by contacting the foundation directly at 435-731-4303.
Joel Zarrow, president and CEO of Park City Community Foundation, emphasized the fund’s importance to the broader community. “Many of the families affected by the current climate are contributors to the local economy, enrich the cultural fabric, and strengthen the ties that bind our community together. This fund will help foster kindness in our community and an environment where people from diverse backgrounds feel valued and connected to their neighbors,” Zarrow said.
The fund’s launch builds on the foundation’s longstanding efforts to advocate for and support vulnerable families in the region. By convening community partners and mobilizing resources, the foundation continues its mission to create a safe and inclusive environment for all residents.
Since its inception in 2007, the Park City Community Foundation has had a nearly $70 million impact throughout Park City and Summit County. In addition to the Community Belonging Fund, the foundation spearheads initiatives such as Live PC Give PC, Women’s Giving Fund, and Youth United, each addressing key community needs.
