Utah Olympic legacy shines with upcoming nordic and alpine events

PARK CITY, Utah — With the upcoming Super Qualifier & University of Utah Invitational at Soldier Hollow and the University of Utah Invitational at the Utah Olympic Park the UOLF is continuing its mission to cultivate champions and celebrate Utah’s Olympic legacy. Join them at the events to cheer on the competitors or compete. You must have a USSS Cross Country Competitor or FIS license to compete.

Jan. 17, 18 and 19     Super Qualifier & University of Utah Invitational at Soldier Hollow

For this event there are already over 700 competitor registrations. The top Junior cross-country racers from the Intermountain West and the top collegiate skiers in the country compete in these races. Soldier Hollow is a sprawling venue that allows spectators to view the races from numerous areas. Races are expected to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Jan. 18 you can even get a true Olympic experience. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Laser Biathlon demonstrations will be available. The Biathlon Try-it & Challenge demos follow from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with .22 Biathlon rifles for those who are 18+ &/or their parents completed the online waiver.

Feb. 7, 8, 9   University of Utah Invitational at the Utah Olympic Park

For this Utah Olympic Park event each NCAA race starts at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 and 8 feature the Giant Slalom races, while Feb. 9 is designated for the slalom races. When you are not watching the races, you can explore the Utah Olympic Park venue and museum. Both are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
