Ink meets art: Inside Park City’s new creative hub on Main
PARK CITY, Utah — In a departure from traditional tattoo parlors, Park City’s newest studio is reimagining the experience with an art gallery atmosphere and community-focused approach.
Park City Tattoo Collective, will have its grand opening tonight from 6-9 p.m. at 738 Main St. The studio combines a tattoo and piercing studio with an art gallery and event space. The space features white walls, natural elements and abundant lighting — design choices that owner Ryan Stark says reflect the local community’s preferences.

“Traditional tattoo shops can sometimes feel a bit hardcore. The local community needed a space that felt more aligned with its own vibe—something elevated that celebrates both art and tattooing,” Stark said. “Tattoos are deeply personal, and each piece tells a story of individual journeys, values, and experiences. We wanted to create a space where people feel comfortable sharing those stories and connecting with artists on a meaningful level.”
Beyond tattoos and piercings, the studio will display oil paintings and illustrations created by its resident artists. The space will also host regular community events, including yoga classes, breath-work sessions and full-moon ceremonies.
“We wanted the tattoo artists to not only showcase their work on the skin but also their oil paintings and drawings,” Stark said. “It’s important that the studio feels inviting, whether you’re getting a tattoo or simply curious about the art form.”
Tonight’s grand opening celebration will feature live tattooing demonstrations, art exhibitions, music and refreshments. The event is free but requires advance registration.
Following the opening, the studio will launch its community programming with a guided breath-work session on Jan. 18, followed by weekly donation-based yoga classes starting Jan. 19. A Snow Moon Ceremony and Sound Bath is planned for Feb. 12.
The venue will also be available for private events, including corporate gatherings and celebration parties.
