Recycle Utah to unveil sustainability plan at public meetings
PARK CITY, Utah – Recycle Utah, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting resource conservation, is set to present its vision for a greener future at two public events in early January 2025. The discussions will highlight findings from a recently completed strategic study and propose a roadmap for improving waste diversion and recycling efforts in Summit County.
The presentations will take place on Tuesday, January 7, from 6:00–7:00 PM at the Santy Auditorium (1255 Park Ave, Park City) and Thursday, January 9, from 6:00–7:00 PM at the Richins Building Auditorium (1885 W Ute Blvd, Park City). The events will feature speakers including Tim Loveday, Summit County’s Solid Waste Superintendent, Recycle Utah staff, and consultants from Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), who will share insights during the January 7 presentation.
Recycle Utah’s efforts have already diverted nearly 4 million pounds of material annually from landfills, including 45 types of recyclable materials. However, the broader community continues to face challenges with waste management and landfill strain. These events aim to engage the public in shaping a more sustainable future for Summit County.
The presentations are free to attend and include a Q&A session. For more information, visit [Recycle Utah’s event page](https://recycleutah.org/event/towards-a-greener-future-recycle-utahs-vision-for
