Snowball Express and bus extensions to ski resorts start Dec. 8
PARK CITY, Utah — High Valley Transit has approved and will launch the new 109 bus route, known as the “Snowball Express”, starting service from the Jeremy Ranch Park and Ride on Dec. 8. The “Snowball Express” is a skier and snowboarder express service operating from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m., with limited stops at Jeremy Ranch, Ecker Hill Park and Ride, Canyons Village Transit Hub, and Park City Mountain. The express service will run from Dec. 8 until early April 2025, and will not operate during the off-season.
New Service Extensions and Route Updates
- Bus route 108 will extend up to Woodward instead of starting and stopping at the Jeremy Ranch Park & Ride
- The 106 bus will add a stop at the Hyatt in the Deer Valley East location
- These new stops will go into effect Dec. 8 with the start of winter service
Increased Salt Lake City Connection Service
- The Salt Lake City – Park City connector bus 107 will run twice as often starting Dec. 8
- Bus route 101 will largely keep its current frequency as the 109 – Snowball Express will cover some of the same destinations
Micro Transit Expansion
High Valley Transit is increasing the number of micro transit hours across both their Summit County and Wasatch County zones. Brad Herkimer, Chief Operations Officer at High Valley Transit, noted that Wasatch County “will be adopting paratransit services for their community this winter.”
Finding Route Information
Detailed timetables for the 109 Snowball Express and other winter routes will be published in the next couple weeks and will be available on High Valley Transit’s website. Riders can track buses in real-time through the agency’s tracking site.
