Park City Library screens Oscar-nominated ‘Robot Dreams’ as part of Family Film Fest series
PARK CITY, Utah — “Robot Dreams,” the 2024 Academy Award® nominee for Best Animated Feature, will be screened at the Park City Library on Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. as part of its Family Film Fest Series, offering residents a chance to experience the story of an unlikely friendship brought to life.
Adapted from Sara Varon’s popular graphic novel, Robot Dreams follows DOG, a lonely Manhattan resident who builds a robot to ease his isolation. Set in 1980s New York City, their bond grows until DOG is forced to leave ROBOT at the beach one summer night, introducing themes of connection and loss.
The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and has since drawn praise for its emotional narrative and animation. Presented in partnership with the Park City Library, the Family Film Fest screening is free, with complimentary popcorn provided to attendees.
