Freestyle’s finest return for FIS World Cup at Deer Valley
PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort will once again light up its slopes for world-class freestyle skiing as it hosts the 2025 Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup from February 6-8.
The historic Utah venue, recently named as the freestyle moguls and aerials skiing site for the 2034 Winter Olympics, expects to draw thousands of spectators for three nights of elite competition under the lights.
The event marks a significant milestone for U.S. freestyle skiing, as it joins Lake Placid, New York, and Waterville, New Hampshire, in hosting FIS Freestyle World Cup events on American snow — the first time since 1982 that three U.S. venues have featured on the international circuit in the same season.
“It is an honor to be celebrating the 27th year of international ski competitions at Deer Valley,” said Todd Bennett, the resort’s president and chief operating officer. “The energy our guests and athletes create during these elite competitions is unmatched.”
The competition schedule features moguls on February 6, aerials on February 7, and dual moguls on February 8, with all events beginning at 7:30 p.m. MST. Last year’s event drew nearly 30,000 spectators over three days.
Deer Valley’s legacy in freestyle skiing includes hosting events during the 2002 Winter Olympics, three World Championships (2003, 2011, 2019), and 23 World Cups. The resort will offer VIP packages starting November 9, providing exclusive viewing areas and amenities for each competition night.
