Barnes & Noble announces Park City opening with NYT best-selling author ribbon cutting

PARK CITY, Utah – Barnes & Noble announced its grand opening slated for Wednesday, November 20, at the Redstone Shopping Center (1678 Redstone Center Drive). The store will occupy the former Bed Bath & Beyond space next to Backcountry and Orangetheory Fitness.

Park City-based New York Times best-selling author Jack Carr will cut the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Carr will also be signing copies of his books. The event will feature a free collectible tote bag with any Sub Pop CD or vinyl purchase while supplies last. Two lucky Sub Pop purchasers will receive a free limited edition color variant vinyl LP.

The new Barnes & Noble store will feature the bookseller’s latest design, a curated selection of books, toys, games, gifts, and an updated B&N Café.

“Opening a new bookstore is always a joyous occasion, and this one doubly so,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “We are not only celebrating our new Park City Barnes & Noble, but also our new Murray bookstore, which opened just last week. Our Park City booksellers are eager to welcome customers into their beautiful new Barnes & Noble.”

Twelve new Barnes & Noble bookstores, including this Park City location and another in Murray, will open in November in New York, Florida, New Hampshire, Indiana, Kansas, California, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. Each grand opening has attracted enthusiastic crowds that fill the store as the ribbon is cut.

“I’m so proud to open a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Park City,” said Store Manager Matt Turvey. “Opening a new bookstore is a labor of love and takes tremendous teamwork and effort. Our passionate booksellers can’t wait to welcome the community into their beautiful new Park City Barnes & Noble.”
