Threatening the use of a Lethal Weapon
Deputies responded to a report of an individual brandishing a knife during an argument following a minor vehicle accident on Weber Canyon Road. The individual had left the scene, but deputies were able to locate him. Following an investigation, an adult male was arrested and taken to the Summit County jail without incident.
DUI, Possession of Marijuana
Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Kirby Road. Upon contacting the driver, they noticed clear signs of impairment, along with the smell of alcohol and burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The male driver failed standardized field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI. A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered small amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Due to the driver’s need for additional medical attention, he was released with a citation for first-offense DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several other traffic-related violations.

DUI, Possession of Methamphetamine
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to stay within a single lane while traveling east on Highway I-80. The driver smelled of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests, leading to a DUI arrest. During the search following the arrest, methamphetamine was found on the driver, and multiple open alcohol containers were discovered inside the vehicle. The driver was booked into Summit County Jail without incident.

Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Cutter Lane. Upon arrival, they made contact with a male who identified himself as the driver. The man showed clear signs of impairment, and a strong odor of alcohol was detected on him. After performing poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody for DUI.
Tuesday, October 1
DUI
A deputy observed a vehicle swerving out of its lane while traveling on Main St. in Coalville. The deputy initiated a traffic stop as the driver turned onto I-80 Westbound. Upon contacting the male driver, signs of impairment were noted, along with the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver failed standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently taken into custody for DUI.
Possession of Methamphetamine
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation on westbound I-80. A K9 unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of illegal drug odors. A search of the vehicle revealed a user amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.
Friday, October 4
DUI
Deputies responded to a non-injury accident on Bitner Road. While speaking with the driver of one of the vehicles, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on her. The driver performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was taken to PKMC for a medical evaluation and was released with a citation at the hospital due to medical concerns.

A deputy observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane while traveling southbound on UT 248 and initiated a traffic stop, with the driver stopping at US 40 westbound. Upon making contact with the driver, signs of impairment were noted, along with a strong odor of alcohol from inside the vehicle. The driver performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to the Summit County Jail without incident.
Aggravated Assault
Deputies responded to the Park City Outlets after receiving a report of an aggravated assault in progress. Following an investigation, an adult male was arrested. While handcuffed, the suspect resisted and struggled with deputies, but they were able to subdue him and complete the arrest. The male was charged with three counts of assault on a peace officer, aggravated assault, two counts of interference with a peace officer, and unlawful acquisition of a financial transaction card.

DUI
Deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver on Bitner Road. The vehicle and driver were found at the Canyon Creek Apartments. During the interaction with the driver, several signs of intoxication were observed, and field sobriety tests were administered. The driver failed the tests and was arrested for DUI.
Monday, October 7
DUI
Deputies responded to a burglary alarm at a residence in Promontory Ranch. Upon arrival, they encountered Tyler Knoles, who was attempting to leave the area in a vehicle. After stopping him and speaking with him, deputies noticed several signs of impairment, along with the smell of alcohol on his person. Mr. Knoles refused to follow police orders and resisted arrest. He also declined to take any tests. After a warrant was issued for a blood sample, he continued to be uncooperative with deputies. Mr. Knoles was booked on charges of DUI, DUI test refusal, and resisting arrest.
