Park City offers a variety of Halloween-themed events this October, with something for everyone—from trick-or-treaters to history buffs and thrill-seekers alike.

Thriller by Odyssey Dance Theater
Odyssey Dance Theater brings its popular “Thriller” production back to the Egyptian Theatre stage, running Wednesdays through Sundays throughout October 10-13. Showtimes are 8 p.m., with additional matinees on Saturdays at 3 p.m. Audiences can expect an entertaining mix of monsters, maniacs, and ghouls in this theatrical Halloween dance performance. Special seating is available for “Pharaohs,” who should contact the box office for the best seats.

Haunted Basin at Snowbasin Resort
Snowbasin Resort will debut its “Haunted Basin” event from October 10-14 and October 17-21. The event features a haunted forest trail, horror film screenings at the Haunted Cinnabar, and family-friendly activities. Admission ranges from $10 to $25, depending on the time and age group. Premier Pass holders receive discounted tickets. Visitors can enjoy themed food and drinks, including the specialty RedЯum cocktail.

The Pumpkin Train
Heber Valley Railroad will host its annual Pumpkin Train on October 5, 12, 19, and 26, offering a fun, 40-minute ride that includes a pumpkin and a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie for each guest. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for toddlers under age two, with several departure times throughout each day.

Glenwood Cemetery Lecture by Barb Martz
On October 23, the Park City Museum will host a lecture on the history of Glenwood Cemetery from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Presented by Barb Martz, this free lecture offers insight into the final resting place of many Park City pioneers. Attendees will hear stories of the cemetery’s establishment in 1885, its abandonment, and the restoration efforts that continue today.

BalletNEXT Presents Giselle
BalletNEXT offers a special Halloween-themed performance of Giselle on October 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jim Santy Auditorium. This free event provides a fresh take on the classic ballet, blending traditional music with modern Halloween tunes. Audiences are encouraged to come in costume for this family-friendly show, which will include a Q&A session with the performers afterward.

Beetlejuice is Back!
From October 25-27, Park City audiences can enjoy Tim Burton’s highly anticipated sequel, Beetlejuice. After a family tragedy, the Deetz family returns to Winter River, where Beetlejuice’s mischief reignites when Lydia’s daughter accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife. Starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Jenna Ortega, this film promises an exciting return to Burton’s supernatural universe. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 6 p.m. Beetlejuice is rated PG-13, with a runtime of 105 minutes.

Mystery in the Stacks at the Park City Library
On October 25, the Park City Library will host “Mystery in the Stacks,” an interactive whodunnit event from 6 p.m. to midnight. Participants will become part of the story, racing to solve a mystery before the killer strikes again. Tickets are required for this event, with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

Celebrate the Spirits with Basin Recreation at Willow Creek Park on October 28 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with trick-or-treating, games, and more.

Basin Recreation invites families to Willow Creek Park on Saturday, October 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for “Celebrate the Spirits.” Children are encouraged to dress in costumes and trick-or-treat while enjoying festive activities and a costume contest. The event is $15 per trick-or-treater, with children aged two and under attending for free. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses wishing to host a table.

Halloween on Main returns this Sunday.

Halloween on Main Street
Halloween on Historic Park City’s Main Street, recognized as one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country, will be held on October 31 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Families are invited to trick-or-treat at participating businesses, while the street will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 2 p.m. Parking is limited, so visitors are encouraged to use the city’s free transit system for easy access.

Park City Ghost Tours
Park City Ghost Tours offers nightly tours at 8 p.m. throughout October. Guests can stroll through haunted gardens and hear spine-chilling stories from Park City’s past. A reservation is required 24 hours in advance, and tours require a minimum of six participants.
