PARK CITY, Utah – Four Park City residents face charges for double voting in Utah’s June primary.
Patricia Neumayer, 61, Carolyn Anne Rose, 68, Bruce William Kirchenheiter, 68, and Bret Alan Reid, 66, were each charged Thursday in 3rd District Court. All four charged are registered Republicans, who allegedly voted in both Republican and Democratic primaries, despite warnings from the county clerk’s office that such actions were illegal, charging documents said.
Summit County Attorney Margaret Olson emphasized the importance of public trust in elections and warned that violations would be prosecuted.
Joseph Edward Wrona, a former Park City attorney, will serve 364 days in Summit County Jail, undergo 48 months of supervised probation, and comply with standard sex offender conditions, including registration.

“Public confidence in our elections is very important,” Olson said in a statement Thursday. “If individuals vote twice we will find out about it and we will prosecute it. These are strict liability crimes.”
Double voting is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment, a $2,500 fine and a 90% surcharge, the County Attorney’s Office said.
