Sundance Resort expands with 8,000-square-foot day lodge, set for winter 2025
SUNDANCE, Utah — Sundance Resort is building a new Mountain Camp Day Lodge, scheduled to open in winter 2025, to enhance its guest experience.
The 8,000-square-foot facility, part of the resort’s Act2 improvement plan, aims to significantly upgrade services for day skiers. Located adjacent to Jake’s Lift, the lodge will offer ski-out access, streamlining the transition from lodge to slopes.
Key features of the Mountain Camp Day Lodge include a new dining option, the Mountain Camp Cafe, which will offer discounts to season pass holders. The lodge will also house the resort’s food truck, provide extra space for families and groups, and serve as a hub for ski school operations, equipment rentals, ticket sales, and retail.
Additional amenities will include lockers and areas for skiers to prepare for the day or unwind après-ski. The resort has not yet announced specific operating hours, menu details, or an exact opening date.
This development follows recent improvements to the resort’s infrastructure. This summer, Sundance expanded its parking capacity, adding 110 spaces to one of its lots. This addition concluded a three-year project that introduced nearly 300 new parking spots.
Looking ahead, Sundance has also broken ground on an ADA-accessible inn for veterans, set to open in 2025. The inn will host the resort’s new Mountain Veterans Program, offering adaptive ski lessons and outdoor experiences for service members.
Further expansion plans include more terrain and a new high-speed quad lift, targeted for 2026. This lift will enhance access to Sundance’s “back mountain” terrain, running from near the Wildwood area to the top of Red’s Lift.
